This build work?

Using dual Stormlash Frenzy barb.Use the static from SL to whittle the enemies life down then finish off with Warcry.Maybe even use a few facets to make Static more effective(I know they effect static but by how much not sure).I come up with this when thinking about the fastest way a Barb can kill lots of enemies, maybe in 8P games. The idea is using this build to level then respec to the one you want to use(PvP,GF) or maybe even just for the challenge.

Other things to think about Enigma(Yeah tping kinda ruins the run speed of frenzy but it would only be to bring the merc closer) with Infinity Merc but might make Barb too weak but would certainly make the static better(Warcry might negate the need for high defence).By the way I have got access to just about any gear he might need so that is not a problem(its NL).|||yeah but it does less damage and costs more than dual griefs|||^lol.

You might want to consider Crescent Moon phaseblades. Static has a better ctc on Stormlash, but I'd say the -70% res and ITD is worth it. How much (if any) points were you planning to spend in frenzy and weapon mastery for AR? Double swing might be a better choice since you I think your enigma/infi choice is best.

As for how it would work... no idea.|||Well, since, iirc, static stops working at 1/2 life in hell, you'd have some issues--to put it kindly. I'm guessing in the end the CB from stormlash would be more useful than the static. That said, why then bother with tracking down two stormlashes? Two kingslayers will have the same about of CB and be much easier to come by. Better still, make 2x oath and get CB from Guillaume's and gores. Same CB and more damage. Also, warcry is VERY mana and skill-point intensive. The biggest question I have, though, is why bother in the first place? If you just want this for power leveling, then simply grab an ondal's and leech in baal runs. You'll level far faster than trying to kill by yourself with a barb.

JEB90|||Actually it works surprisingly well now I have all the setup,Warcry not bothered with its just not needed with Draculs.I think people dont realise the Pros of Static compared to CB,it scales with player count hits many enemies at once CB does niether.Static will take it beyond 1/2 with Conviction as well.Dont forget also Stormlash has nearly 500 lightening damage enhanced by conviction,Procs Tornado ok the damage is not huge but it hitting several enemies.

Anyway the biggest damaging part of the build is the static therefore it only makes sense to maximise it and since Stormlash has highest chance(Schaefer's has 20% chance but far too slow) is a fast weapon I cant see any other weapon choice being better.By the way last ladder I got a Stormlash relatively cheap and easy but maybe I was lucky but this is more a NL build anyway. Its actually inspired by my ladder kicker who used the Stormlash/Infinity combo.

I guess the only thing left undecided is helm,Im using Guillaume's Face but considering CoA(which I already have) as Im lacking resists and DR% and with the static and CB thats already there I think Id only loose a fraction of killing speed despite the big 35% CB loss.|||do a time run., compare with dual griefs.. they are cheaper and clear faster.|||Quote:

Static Field is not affected by Conviction and Lower Resist.

Static Field will not take a monster below 33% health in Nightmare and 50% in Hell.

Unless the Arreat Summit is wrong (which I don't completely rule out), I think the damage you are seeing after 50% is all CB if you are soloing 8 player games. Not that a CB based build can't work. I tried a kicker last ladder that used stormlash in ubers for a change of pace, and she ripped them apart. For a barb, though, there are plenty of ways to get CB in more more useful weapons that are easier to come by.

JEB90|||I just tested with a Infinity wielding sorceress and Static left them with about 1/3 to 1/4 of their life left.Conviction doesn't increase the 25% reduction of remaining life per cast it just effects at what point it stops reducing.
