My Ubur Frenzy Barbarian - Is He Ready?

So I got all the strings in place to pull to have all these items, or I own them already (75%), so the question is with this setup what should I maybe consider swapping out in order to walk into Trist and have a picnic? Should I be good vs the conviction aura with Meph resistance wise? Fort for ED over Resist from CoH viable with my current setup? I'm a fan of beast with the Fanatic aura but is that overkill speed with frenzy and how much would it gimp my damage to swap it out with Last wish?

1 Point To: Battle Command, Natural Resist, Prereqs

Left Over Points To: Taunt

45 Arreats + 30 Fort + 25 scs + 17 Torch + 10 Anni = 127 Res BEFORE natural resistance going to be enough?

Appreciate all responses, and please if you do respond give some indepth feedback. "Item #1> Item #2" doesn't help educate me.|||With your current gear

Resistances

45 Arreats

30 Fort

25 Small charms

15 Torch

10 Anni

54 Natural resists

(35 light res highlords)

179 all resistances

Hell penalty - -100

Mephs conviction - -125

Thats -46 fire/Cold/Poison and -11 light.

With fade from last wish +56 = 10 Fire/cold/Poison and 45 lightning

This is more than enough to be honest if you attack fast enough.

Now onto weapons

I will assume 140/140 stats and only max double swing and frenzy. I will assume the worst rolls possible and amend the stats accordingly.

Ebotd - 350 ed +30 str/dex

Beast - 240 ed +25 str

Last wish - 330ed

Speed - 5.5 frames per attack(frenzy)

As you see here the best for uburs without prebuff treachery would be Grief + last wish for the huge prebuff to resist and crushingblow + lifetap. Its clear that Grief will give more consistant damage than Ebotd at the expense of leech which is granted by Lifetap.

Personally I'd use phase blades and use grief because its easier to hit frames and they look cooler.

Phase blade grief - 4983-5035

Phase blade Last wish - 1739-1962

These are both lowest possible rolls

NOTE

I didnt take into account any charms that enhance damage/Resistances other than torch/anni.

Note

Loh would be a good set to wear on last wishs side for 350edtd and 50 fire resists.|||Well if i see this set up, i sort of makes me drool. I can almost beat Uuber trist, the only thing is that the deceprify from LB is sometimes a curse against Mephi. I guess i have to look for a teachery =)|||Lawbringer should be switched out for something else if you cant survive without lifetap but with enough hitpoints and power you can steamroll meph using decrepify and it makes mopping up the minions so much easier since all the physical immunes are undead in there.

Oh and remember to cast howl occasionally to clear the ubur of minions.|||I think it's safe to say you are ready That gear is a lot better than what I had the first time I did it! Now I still use life tap on meph (he still scares me) but switch to decrepify and laying of hands for diablo and baal. I do use chains of honor though. Go for it and experiment with all that awesome gear!|||I dont think so you will need angelics to do uber baal.|||I think you should use the edeathz instead of lastwish as your main offhand weapon and try using the angelics combo and see whether you feel there's any difference in the play style. The boost to AR is definitely good, but due to the loss of the "cannot be frozen mod" bestowed by ravens, you got to make a sacrifice and exchange your belt for trang ouls. Or you could use the angelics amulet, ring and a raven combo and still get the partial boost to AR.

I tried using a beast for the fanatism aura but personally found the beast+ ebotd combo to be less effective then a ebotdz and edeathz combo. If you can get your hands on an ias jewel, you can ignore the fanatism and still get that speed to reach the BP.

I just did my first solo frenzy barb run today and it went pretty smooth. I used the angelics set and the ebotdz and edeathz combo with a lastwish and lawbringer on switch; I also had a CoH for the extra resists. Pretty solid setup once you add fade from treachery or last wish and enchant from a demon limb. The run would've lasted not more than 4-5 minutes to be honest. People may say that smiters do it way faster, but there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your barb hack the crap out of the ubers:-)|||I seriously question the need for angelics against baal to be honest. My fenzy barb is set up.

Guillames (UM)

Grief/Lawbringer

Fort

Magnus skin

Vendungos

Raven + Raven (200+ ar each)

Metalgrid/Highlords

Gores

Torch + Anni

I only need lifetap for ubur meph I must point out.

I have no problem steamrolling baal/Diablo without angelics at level 90. I miss a few hits but not enough to make me want to drop my current set up.

I do have serious troubles defeating duriel on the other hand.........Jeez he slows me down too much :P|||I guess in my case I was always biased towards the angelics set...maybe a reason why I recommend it to many people

I mean, sure you don't exactly need them if you roll with a highlords and dual ravens...but I had a tough time getting uber baal down with that setup. Kept regenerating way too fast and my hits were missing a bit.

But I also found out that when I exchanged my ebotdz and edeath with a lastwishz and griefz(using a highlords and dual ravens)...I got the job done easily.

My point being, from my personal experience(which isn't that vast, probably 4 runs) if you want to stick with using the ebotdz and edeathz combo, it'd be a helpful boost for you to use an angelics and get a more enhanced performance.
