The best weapons to use in nightmare?

From level 25~50, the other charaters can level very fast, barb is a slow killer even with good weapons. What weapon has the best killing speed?|||For example:

1 handers:

Butchers Pupil

Honor RW in an exceptional weapon

Fleshrender

2 handers:

Ribcracker

Bonesnap

Steeldriver

Hwanin's Justice

These are my favorites. Will crush anything in nm!|||Most exceptional uniques have a req around late 30s(though 'cracker 31), so bonesnap at lvl 24 req and honor/insight(ancient axe is good for damage and not too high reqs) at lvl 27 give a lot longer performance span. Honor ancient axe is also 175 damage, insight partizan 183 before their DS bonuses so big hurty|||Quote:

Disagree - lvl 30 barb is fastest character to Normal Baalruns, where is hard to find player with teleport. Bloodletter + upped Rixot + Gorefoot boots give you Leap and WW = fast run to Baal chamber. With Stealth armor (Tal Eth) you can run quite fast, leap over group of enemies. Moreover at lvl 25 you can use 2 spirits which increasse your BO, Leap, life and mana - great for fast run no fight.

I like Barb just because all NM items are very cheap and easy to get - most expensive is Butcher Pupil.

Swords:

Upped Rixot sword - lvl 25 + Strenght (Amn Tir) gladius lvl 25 or King's Grace (Amn Ral Thul) espandon.

At lvl 30 2 x Bloodletter or Bloodletter + Rixot for CB. At lvl 42 you can use Lionheart armor and Arreat which increase your strenght + IK glov, belt and boots you can be able to use Honor Zweihander or even Executioner sword

At lvl 43 you can use Passion (Dol Ort Eld Lem) in elite sword which can be used even in Hell.

Axes

as above - best combo Honor Naga + Butcher.

Maces

Bonesnap later upped Bonesnap.

For frenzy Honor Knout + Black (great weapon for very common runes Thul Io Nef)

Polearms

lvl 27 Insight or Meat Scraper lvl 41|||Polearms- Insight Partizan easily beats Hwanin's or Honor, or Meat Scraper, or anything else, with one exception- Pierre Tombale Couant, which somehow managed to avoid mention here. 55% DS, +3 Barb skills, mana leech, FHR- every mod on PTC rocks.

Swords- I agree with Shuy about Bloodletter as a starter, but let's not forget Headstriker. The +max damage per level and +DS per level make it a lot more powerful than it looks on paper. Also, with some luck with rune drops, Crescent Moon in a sword can be wielded from lvl47, is very powerful and has ctc Static Field on striking!

Axes- Butcher's is the most obvious choice. Crescent Moon can be made in axes.

Maces- Black, Fleshrender if one handed. Two-handed- start with Bonesnap, Black or Honor War Club and at lvl 48 grab a Bloodtree Stump.

Also, do not underestimate the importance of armor and other non-weapon gear for killing speed.|||Quote:

Obviously this is a twink question. You would need a lot of luck to find any of the mentioned uniques here or required base weapons just while playing. |||I am WWing with steeldriver, best I can find for now. Killing speed is decent. What's the level requirement for the upped version, and is range really important for WW?

BTW, wield spirit shield on level 25? That would leave vitality at base.
