Help choosing WW weapons.

Hello.

I am leveling a barb (37 atm) for counsil rune hunting. I play sp and i dont have runes for grief, oath, ebotd etc atm. I am using an upped steeldriver right now but need help with best endgame weapon(s) for me to use until i find runes for the better runewords. I have ik maul but lacking armor in set, butchers pupils, razors edge, ethereal hone sundan, most other unique weapons. What do you recommend from these or is there better options in other runewords.

What armor btw do you recommend aswell. Dont have runes for fort. But do have duress, lionheart and most other unique armors.

Thanks beforehand...|||My council runner was using an upgraded ribcracker (socketed with a Shael). If you don't have a high %ED one you could upgrade the Hone Sundan you have instead and put 3 Shaels in it.

Armor choice is between Duress and Lionheart (your own preference), mostly. An alternative option to a sort of baby fort is using a Black Hades socketed with 3 XX%ED to demons jewels.|||Thanks.

So the ribcracker beats Eth Hone Sundan with 3 shaels in it damage wise? Or is it the WW breakpoint and the comparable damage stats? I have one with 238 %ED on it if so. Black Hades was a nice tip will defintly try that one.|||Both hit the same speed and do roughly the same damage, but a Ghost Spear has very different stat requirements from a Stalagmite and an upped Ribcracker is IMO more recyclable and has better secondary stats. On the other side the Ghost Spear has better range but I never cared for that.

To give a damage comparison:

A 200% ED eth upped Hone Sundan does ~419 average base damage.

A 150% ED eth upped Hone Sundan does ~354 average base damage.

A 238% ED upped Ribcracker does ~354 average base damage.|||Perfect. Thank you very much Stephan!|||Btw what calculator did you use?|||Oath BB does more dmg than both of those though. And a decent eth upped hone is pretty expensive!

Also for armor the peace runeword is good for crit bonus|||Quote:

It's SP. He said he can't make Oath and has an eth Hone Sundan already. Besides, a bad roll on the Oath and the damage difference is more than offset by the difference in CB.

Btw what calculator did you use?

A Casio fx-82 super. It's a little old, but it still works. |||Quote:

perf upped hone: 420 damage

perf oath bb: 571 damage

45% cb damage to 12k life monster at half life: 0.45*0.25*6000=675

amount of ED after which oath is better(assuming +10 dmg from charms for both, +25 oath ed, 72% double damage):

581*(x+0.25)*1.72>430*x*1.72 +675

x = 42517/25972 , which is 64 ED. Not that hard to get, methinks.|||Quote:

Unless I misinterpret your numbers, that's about half of all Oaths on a roll range of 130 %ED.

EDIT: I think I misinterpret your numbers and you misinterpret my previous post. When I mean a bad roll on the Oath I don't mean you roll a perfect one.
