Best Death Base?

Would it be a waste to make a Death in a phase blade? If so, what is the best base? (both 1handed and 2handed sword)|||i made mine in an eth colossus blade. personally i think it'd be a waste in a non eth weapon.|||PB would be a waste, yes. I think eth colossus sword is the standard choice for frenzy barbs and 1-hit KO zerkers. The colossus blade is a little faster and does a little less damage.

There aren't many swords bases to choose from so if you need a faster base to hit a breakpoint then you'll have to use a berserker axe or war spike.|||Would you recommend CS or CB for Frenzy barb?|||Edit: Also, same question with Oath|||That would depend whether the small difference in base weapon speed between the two leads to a noticeable change to the breakpoints, and if so how much IAS you have in your setup. Balrog Blade for Oath and CS for Death is the easiest since the maximum sockets corresponds to how many sockets each runeword needs.|||with 10 speed class weapons some pretty crazy stuff is necessary sometimes - ias sockets , nosferatu belt. generally inflexible too, despite the love of damage freaks|||Yeah dont make it out of a pb. I prefer making it out of a eth berserker axe.|||Berserker Axes and Colossal Blades are the # 1 choices.

But Ettin Axes and Colossal Swords (both are which slightly slower) will give slightly higher damage output.

All in ethereal, and preferably 15% ED/+3 attack rating superior weapons
