Sword barb

Hey guys,

Currently making a two handed sword barb. Yea i know there are better choices such as dual wielding berserker axes and the likes. However, i wanna make mine look like a weird samurai , so two handed sword for me! Btw, i play on europe nl and this barb uses ww.

I got two questions to some1 who already tried this:

1st - to level up, tell me some cheap two handed sword you tried, dont tell me ladder rws since im not wealthy enough to get them ^^.

2nd - even though im pretty sure i will never get one, is a botd cb the best choice for end game purposes? i suppose death would be good as well even though it would be impossible to reach the last ww bp.|||Heyya Superbock

Try maybe steel/malice rw in something for 13-20. move on to honor rw once that is done, then crescent moon for mid levels maybe? Never did try a 2h sword build, since most heavy hitters are mace class, or the ribby.

I think botd is the high-end weapon of choice even though it's kinda boring.|||Yea definately! gonna try to make an honor seems pretty good to level up in! thx for the reply ^^|||I don't blame you for going swords. If berserker axes looked as badass on your character as the image in your inventory does, i'd be so down. But instead they look like spoons. FFFF that.

Malice was fun for leveling, make everything bleed.

I dunno about ww, but on my frenzy barb I use Botd and Death Colossus blades'.

To bad your NL, oath is a pretty decent cheap rw with nice speed and dmg.|||HAH there is one good upside from being in non ladder...apparently ppl who play nl are filthy rich and like to pvp...the ppl who like to pvm usually stick to ladder...so they give their items when the season is over...now i was baaling to get to level 80 using my honor executioner sword (which served me really well btw not on hell but on nm it was nice) and a guy asked me which sword i was using a guess what...gave me an ethereal botd CB :P 357% ed lool. I guess my sword problems are over...now, for all the rest of the equipment... ^^

P.S 2 handed cb on a barb looks really nice |||Prolly go with grief pb/ebotd cb or grief pb/lw pb but thats the best I can do for now.|||How can he wield two weapons with a two handed sword barb?|||the classic option is blue cruel swords with two shaels. still works great, and low level reqs too, in the 40s. you can shop em if you have some spare time |||OATH is a cheap and efficient weapon.|||Quote:

Hello , I'm on the same boat as the OP ... and I was seriously considering Oath as a great candidate. I'm starting a barb in hardcore with a concentration build that will devolve with a skill reset into a ww one when Im moderately geared up.

But im not sure about Oath for ww (forgive my poor knowledge of the barb class, always have been more devoted to the druid ones for melee tanking / support).

Acording to the stickied All the weapons that hit the last break point in wirlwind v5.0 , it states clearly "2 handed swords being used as a 2 handed weapon hit the last breakpoint at -51". Oath has 50% WIAS, so in theory it would not be able to reach the last BP for WW ... but according to Weapon Speed Calculator [v2.0], it does (2handed)

Can some one clear it up please? Im greatly interested to know, thanks you
