Ive decided to use Death as my offhand (MH Ebotd CB).
My question is this, should I make Death in the 15%ed CS or am I giving up to much base damage since it isnt Eth?
What would the base damage of an Eth version be?|||The damage of eth weapons is 50% higher. So that's significant.|||According to my much limited math skills that would result in a 1 hand base dmg of 45-121 (26-70base dmg x 50%eth x 15%ED)
On a perfect Death roll of 385%ed the damage span would be:
116-308 for the 15%ed version
173-466 for the eth 15%ed version
Well thats just way to much damage to give up on. To bad, I was kinda hoping to roll my Death tonight...

|||It does not have to have 15%ed.It only matters that it's eth.|||The ed% also doesn't affect the base damage like the ethereal bonus, it just adds on to whatever the runeword already has. So if Death gave you a perfect roll (385%) and you had a 15% superior then it'd be 400%.
Either way your math was off but I think you at least understood that making it in a non eth weapon is bad news bears
.|||I'm hunting as well for a Eth weapon to make a death for my frenzy barb. I can't wait to make it.
|||eth death is possibly the best offhand weapon for a frenzy but I prefer beastz/edeathz for weapons since I love to use berserker axes over any swords.
