Is the cold damage on Obedience a deal breaker?

I am building a Find Item barb and was considering a merc weapon. Obedience looks amazing with high damage, cb, res, defence, etc. However, it adds the annoying 4-14 or something cold damage which as far as I have read will sometimes cause the corpses to explode on death rendering Find Item less effective.

Does anyone have experience with Obedience? How often do corpses explode approximately?

For alternatives I was looking at Crescent Moon. It has lower damage but also ITD so every hit is a hit and a 7% chance to cast Static Field (does it work on light immunes?) which seems pretty nice to me.

Thoughts, suggestions, advice?|||Reaper's Toll is NR One|||NR? Also I think Reapers has cold damage as well.|||NR = Number, and yes, it does have cold damage as well. It's not a biggie anyways.|||Ah, right Thanks for the input.|||Try these too!

Expensive go with upgraded Eth Hone Sundan (3 x open socket)

A better upgrade would be eth tomb reaver with 3 sockets, but I don't feel like spending that much on a gfer. I tried obedience greater poleaxe and also eth reapers, and the cold damage was quite a deal breaker for me.|||Thanks for the input. I also tried eth Obedience and while the merc shreds the Council, the cold damage shatters at least 2-3 corpses so no go. I am currently using eth Bonehew (shael-amn) and does the job fairly well. Eth Hone Sundan looks very tasty, I will have to get my hands on one.|||Blackleach Blade is also very good and pretty underrated.

That weaken cast helps to calm down the monsters and the life steal keeps merc as a solid tank. When upped gets bonus damage.|||I personally find cold damage irritating, but on my merc it isn't as prominent. On my bar evne a small cold damage charm and i find myself popping allot of bodies :P and for some odd reason the game takes great delight in popping the boss in most the boss packs.

But Reapers on my merc does it allot less. perhaps it's because i deal more killing blows then he does, not sure. But I do just fine with Reapers on my sinbad
