I have a frenzy barbarian with endgame kit and i would like to ask any gurus out there this specific question:
I wield Grief PB 39ias and EDeath CS
I get +20 ias from highlord's and 15 from a jewel in arreats. My frenzy skill level is (as expected) 32 with battle command.
Do i reach max fps?
I know i would reach it with a 40ias Grief but does 39 do as well with my setup?
The infamous calculator doesn't give me the calculation for 39 and even though i am pretty sure i reach the breakpoint but i cannot help but wonder since it seems to me double swing hits faster than frenzy.
Also the LCS gives me a pitiful damage on my main hand... what should i believe??
Thanks in advance and sorry if this question has been already answered in the past but i have been searching for quite a long time now...|||Offtopic but I just rolled a grief on hardcore myself!
Its a zerker axe and it only has 26 durability so I'm kind of jealous about your PB lol. I just wanted to run around with tiny axes while owning everything.|||With level 32 Frenzy and 35%IAS or more on the PB, you should be reaching the 5fpa breakpoint with 37% IAS elsewhere, so highlords+ Jewel of Fervor=35%IAS doesn't do it. With 40%IAS, the breakpoint is 32%IAS and you do make it.
You could use Laying of Hands and hit the breakpoint for sure.|||So 39 ias on the grief counts just for 35?|||you need 72% IAS, doesnt matter where it comes from |||THANK YOU
uuuuff big load off my chest|||Quote:

I'm not disputing your information, but where are you getting this information from?|||Titanseal's IAS calc gives that number for phaseblade as primary weapon in the left weapon slot with CS in the right slot. However, you can get a much faster attack if you put the CB in your left slot (above gloves) while still keeping the Grief as your primary weapon. You can do this by equipping the CS last (similar to a sin WSM bugging). If you look at the calc you'll see the option to set the secondary weapon (the CS) to be in the left slot, and that you then only need 11 IAS to reach 5 fpa.
If you find that info suspect, you can test it yourself by first swinging into the air with phaseblade on left slot and CS on right, then trying the setup above.
*There's also a newer script by Titanseal that says you need 65 IAS (including that on Grief) even when doing the above 'bugging'. So ye. I'm not sure.|||OK, Titanseal's calculator is only correct when using two weapons with the same base WSM and IAS.

I only mention this because I observed a noticeable change in attack speed when switching from a Lawbringer Phase blade offhand to a Death CS all the while keeping the same mainhand weapon.|||Thanks, I read all that today but forgot that the calc was actually never updated.
So (hopefully) the answer is 65 IAS.
*Another thing to take into account is that after the primary weapon makes a successful hit, the secondary weapon's IAS is used to calculate the speed on the rest of the animation (see here). In other words if you want both swings of the frenzy attack to be 5 fpa, you'll need 65 off-weapon IAS seeing as Death has no IAS.
