best barb for hardcore?

hey I was planning on making a barb for hc and i was seeing what would be the best as far as fun to play and survivability?

pure berzerker?|||Conc and its defense bonus seems like the obvious/safest choice, but I'd say WW since you're always on the move and you can kill them much faster. Berserk can be a little scary if you're playing untwinked but it's awesome with good equipment. My grief/SS zerker is actually more sturdy than my WW barb (frenzytaurs excluded) because he kills stuff so fast. Most of the barb builds work equally well in HC, you just play more carefully and maybe use some different equipment.

Solo or partied, bnet or SP, twinked or untwinked?|||Well I'm thinking of venturing back into hc and making a wolf barb , for 2

1 my sc wolf barb has never died pvm

2 you can max shout , bo , iron skin , natural res , and weapon mastery

and still have points left over

my only problem is getting high enough lvl to wear the gear in the first place ;(|||I play single-player, usually untwinked for HC and the only barbarian that I've gotten reasonably far is a Nightfish Berserker. It isn't the fastest build by any means, but I felt totally safe, even untwinked.

The basic premise is to use a huge 2H weapon (or 1H with a utility shield such as SS for the DR%) to do damage, howl to scatter enemies, and war cry to stun small mobs (can't hurt if they can't move). It's a little more CC-heavy than your standard Barb, but I really enjoyed him.

I, however, hate using melee-centric builds in HC (too nervous about missing a boss mod to brave it, especially untwinked and/or with the lowish gear I tend to have), so you should take my recommendation with a grain of salt. I've only ever completed a signification portion of Hell with the barb above and a Frostzealot as melee characters in HC, so not a ton of experience.|||thanks for the responses guys.. what about a frenzy barb btw? Hahahaha. As someone who's played a Frenzy Barb since 1.09, I find the 98734987 different Frenzy threads hilarious now.|||What about mule - they never die.
