Good Armor for my Frenzy Barb?

Hi, just got my Frenzy Barb through Nightmare, he's level 52 right now.. just 1 level away from wearing his Oath BB =D.

Anyway, he's pretty set with gear - got him an arreat's face, verdungo's, dracul's grasp, a couple of choices for boots, oath BB and grief PB, ravenfrost, prolly some rare ring with ar and ll, and metalgrid amulet.

All that's missing is the armor! I was thinking about making him a Duress for damage, or maybe a Gloom for the resists. i can't afford anything expensive like enigma or that would obviously be my first choice =D Any suggestions?|||duress is cool, i like lion heart personally.|||Lionheart's awesome with all the +stats and resists, but it really needs some enhanced defense especially on a frenzy barb that's always taking hits.

I guess I'm gonna have to check out what my resists look like on Hell and decide whether I need a defensive or offensive armor.|||Treachery.

Not too pricey and the fade is just amazing|||I know Lionheart is popular amongst many people (and the stats are great) but I've never bothered making one. There hasn't been a build where the other mid-range armors don't fit better: In most situations I'd either prefer the IAS and (somewhat unreliable) res from Treachery, res from Smoke, FHR/res/offensive mods on Duress or the res/defense on Gloom. I like to recommend Treachery, but with a Grief PB your attack speed should be good enough that you'll be better served by something else.

If you can afford it I'd go for Gloom. It hasn't got anything on it besides res and defense but it's got plenty of those, and that's really all you need. Don't expect the ctc Dim Vision to save your *** from nasty archers or the like, although it does sometimes proc at useful times, especially if your merc is also wearing one.

With your setup's lack of CB you might be tempted to go for Duress, imo though Guillaume's Face with Gloom is a much better and infinitely more stylish option than Arreat's with Duress.|||Hm, can't really sacrifice the mods on Arreat's Face for the CB on Guillaume's. And I seem to be one Pul rune short for Gloom (have 2).. so I'm just gonna put Gore Riders on him for some CB, and make a Duress. Was going to suggest something that will proc when struck such as treachery|||damage better cheap options: the amazon and assassin chest runewords. If survivability is concern though, then gloom offers limited performance compared to ebugged prudence.. how can you say no to a 3k defense armor
