Frenzy: Best Merc gear?

What would be the best gear to equip your merc with if youre a Frenzy barb?

My own gear as follows:

Ebotd CB

Grandfather (will replace with Death when i find a Vex rune)

Arreats

2xravenfrost

Gore riders

Draculs

Verdungos

Rare +1skill amu (will replace it with Highlords)

Arkaines +2 (will replace with enigma when im rich enough)

I have an act 2 might merc atm with the following gear.

Helmet: Eth rare 2sock grand crown, def ~400, +str, some res and life.

Armour: Corpsemourn

Weapon: Tomb Reaver

Im thinking about upgrading with these items:

Helmet: Gaze

Weapon: Reapers Toll

Armour: ????

Would appreciate any input/comments or suggestions.

Br /Katten|||reapers is good with enigma, but without enigma its hard to utilize well especially for fast mover like frenzybarb, in that case pride provides better damage boost|||I was mostly looking for the Decrep that comes with Reaper, especially when doing Ubers im guessing its a nice curse to have.

While fighting random mobs its not as crucial as you point out.

Thanks for the answer |||If you want Decrepify, you could try a Lawbringer instead of that Grandfather. It'll also give you Sanctuary (great for undead slaying, which are the most common Physical Immune).|||True that Lawbringer has a 20% chance to cast decrep but is the damage enough?

There is no ED in Lawbringer so all I have is the base weapon damage + the fire and cold damage which in truth doesnt look to awesome.

I dont really want to gimp my own damage just to get decrep, thats why I was optiong for the Merc to go with Reapers.|||Lawbringer isnt a high end weapon, just a joke weapon some people like to use. 20% decrep is bad since only half the time weapon even swings, quite unreliable compared to merc decrep 30% at 5 fpa. Funny combo with crescent moon as other runeword, but damage not great.

in p8 decrep helps a lot against regular monsters, the only problem is takes time to get it to monsters without enigma, hence pride more useful|||Well since im aiming for Enigma to wear myself i think im gonna go with Reapers for my Merc.

Enigma for my merc aswell is to prizy for me since im kinda poor

What would be a decent replacement, Arkaines maybe?|||yeah thats what i meant lol, for reaper merk treachery is excellent for triggering the decrep faster and increasing his dps.. or fort as a more expensive and luxurious option.|||Ehm...Lawbringer > GF imo. Especially in CS running. The decep is great and being sort of dependable on your merc is un-cool.

I still dont really understand why people take BOTDcol. It is about as expensive as Griefz / Griefpb whereas grief does more damage and you can reach the 5? fpa bp without to much ias.

For an armor i find ETh duriels not a bad choice. CNBF nice life and def in addition to nice Res. In combo with Gaze you should have more or less everything. Putting a sol in both of the items will help a lot against Vipers if you run Nila with your frenzy dude .|||I agree with you that Grief has a higher damage output as well as its easier to reach the 5fps bp with Grief.

Botd has its advantages though, especially when you toon has crappy gear (like me ).

For me those +30 to all attributes and dual leech is just awesome and in many cases a lifesaver.

I will for sure make a grief PB when im fully geared with Enigma and anni etc.

I hadnt really considered Duriels as an option for my merc tough, guess im gonna have to take a look at that.

And as you mention those damn vipers down by Nila is justa pain in the @ss, one shotting my poor merc!
