is LEAP capped at 14 yards?

Hey, just a quick question, as many sources say different things:

Is LEAP capped? At lvl 9 (in game) it shows me 14 yards, next level: 14 yards. I dont want to lose any points, reset later etc. Some say its 16 yards, Arreat summit says it is expanding with every 1 skill point added, by 0,66 or so. Any proof or what is the truth, plz?

thx.|||There's no cap but diminishing returns limits how high you can get it. Google for a skill planner/calculator and use that to see how it changes per level.|||leap range is different of range of knockback radius. knockback radius dont have diminishing returns and you dont see the range of it in skill tree panel|||Quote:

oooohhh, so this is IT! So 14 yards etc is not the cap for knockback? Heck, I did not even notice that. Thanks a lot for this advice.|||Leaping radius is min(4+[26*[(110*lvl)/(lvl+6)]/100],30)*2/3 yards, so at level 9 it's 14 yards. This is what's displayed by the skill description, but as a diminishing returns formula is used each additional level doesn't necessarily increase the radius:

Code:
LEVEL 9 11 13 14 17 21 26 33 45 60
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
RADIUS 14 14 2/3 15 1/3 16 16 2/3 17 1/3 18 18 2/3 19 1/3 20

Absolute maximum leaping radius is 20 yards at level >59, although I think the maximum practically possible is level 57 with a Skill Shrine.

Leap's knockback radius is (3+lvl)*2/3 yards, so at level 9 it's 8 yards: as vknez has pointed out, this isn't displayed in the skill description.

Code:
LEVEL 3 6 9 12 15 18 21 24 27 30
----------------------------------------------
RADIUS 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22

Level 29 (21 1/3 yard radius) will knock back all eligible targets on the visible screen (unless they're obstructed, in which case they'll be put into hit recovery), although this is only necessary to knock back monsters barely visible in the upper corners of the screen.|||Well, after maxing it out, I can tell that it DOES knocback almost whole screen (actually, its like 99 % of the time whole screen is knocked out, or at least I see it this way). I dont need anything more than that. Leap radius is not important for me, just the knockback.

thanks for your kind answers.|||Most, but not all targets can be knocked back: immobile targets can't be knocked back (although Tentacle Beasts will be put into hit recovery), and neither can Prime Evils in all their incarnations, Griswold, Izual, Suicide Minions, Nihlathak or the Ancients. Targets that are prevented from being knocked back due to an obstruction behind them should still be put into hit recovery, though.|||Which ones are Tentacle Beasts? The ones that shoot spikes underground and they come up to stab you? Near Shenk?|||No, those are Death Maulers; Tentacle Beasts lurk in pools in Act 3.
