Frenzy speed calculation

Update: Since I recently found some stuff with good trade values Grief/BotD etc. is now within reach. New breakpoint questions in my next post

I was thinking of some sort of frenzy barb with Oath (BA or Small crescent)

and Death (Ettin axe) and dual Lacerators on switch. I can't afford Grief, BotD etc and eth 5s BA for Death is probably out as well.

I downloaded the new frenzy calculator from ingame.de and get the following:

Lvl 29 frenzy (45 ias)

With crescent/ettin (10/10 base speed, 50 ias on main)

1. What does this show? Is it the off weapon ias needed for a certain speed or what?

2.It seem very strange that switching to a faster weapon makes the whole thing go slower. Am I completely missing something here or is Frenzy the wierdest skill in the game?|||Welcome to the annoying complex world of Frenzy breakpoints -_-

Although you can't see it from the breakpoints there, off-weapon IAS is taken into account for the second swing when the first swing is successful, i.e. most of the time. Despite this I think the mods on Death is worth the speed you lose.

The lower breakpoints with the crescent is due to the fact that combined WSM isn't just an average of the respective weapon WSMs. The average forms part of the equation but importantly -left_slot_WSM (that's a minus in front) is in there as well; thus a slower weapon (higher WSM) in that slot gives you a lower combined WSM (faster attack speed).

*Just to be sure, the calc you spoke of is frenzy_english.exe?|||If I use Grief PB 30 ias/Death CS with lvl 29 frenzy frenzy_english.exe gives

Is i correct that one is used when the first swing is successful and the other when you miss?

Given this setup and assuming 30 ias Grief how much off weapon ias would you recommend?

Edit: Blargh forgot this.

If i switch positions on the weapons and use Death as the primary frenzy_english.exe gives

And the ingame.de calc gives the same as before.

Does this mean I should use Death as my primary and Grief in the off hand?

I am so confused |||I just use that one ias calc on the ingame.de website. It works fine for me. Oh yeah only main side weapon ias counts not offhand. But offhand base weapon ias counts anyhow.
